I was having a clear out and came across these old binoculars. Must have belonged to my father-in-law who has now passed on to a better place God bless him. He loved bird watching at our local nature reserve.
I’ve had a look through them and they’re working, but I think they could do with a good clean, which I’m not going to attempt myself as I don’t want to ruin them. Also there’s a small chip on one of the eye pieces, superficial ( see photo ). This doesn’t affect vision through the binoculars.
They come in a leather case, which I must admit has seen better days, but it does still contain them safely. The case is tan leather with a red lining.
The binoculars have written on them Boots Made In Hong Kong and 8 x 30 Coated Optics.
The binoculars have a leather strap attached.
