This is a pair of vintage Asahi Pentax 8 x 30 binoculars made in Japan by Asahi Optical Company. They have a 7.5 field of view. The serial number and the style of the case suggest that these are early Pentax binoculars probably dating from the 1960s or 1970s.
They are in very good cosmetic condition with very little paint loss and just one scuff on the underside of one barrel. These are top quality binoculars with excellent coated optics. There are a few spots on one of the objective lenses but this does not affect image quality at all.
The binoculars come with their unusual and original set of clear lens caps and are in their original case which is in very good condition.
