Vintage 1950’s Hilkinson Theatre Binoculars/Opera Glasses Mother of Pearl Inlays.A beautifully elegant pair of small antique c.1950’s Hilkinson Art Deco-period opera binoculars. Finished in gold plated metal with exquisite mother of pearl inlays (2 pieces are missing). 3x optical zoom. Fully adjustable, folding flat if needed. Made in Japan, with ‘Hilkinson’ and ‘3X Coated’ on the viewing side. The viewing holes are matt-black painted to prevent glare, with a brass focus adjuster wheel to the centre. A quality manufacturer of bespoke binoculars. Very rare, and hard to find in this sort of condition, with their original case (broken zip) and great additions to any vintage collection, or excellent as a movie or stage prop.
