Viking Cygnus 8×25 MonocularThe Viking Cygnus 8×25 Monocular is designed to be portable, durable, and ready for all weather conditions thanks to the rubberised armoured design which comes complete with multi-coated optics to provide great brightness, colour and contrast. The scope is designed to be compact and lightweight to allow for easy transportation and use whilst bolstering a durable exterior to make sure that it is able to withstand the unpredictable British weather. The design of the monocular provides excellent close focus functionality that allows the user to focus in on objects that are 1.6m away. Measuring in at 110mm in length and 40mm in width, it is clear to see why this is a favourite amongst avid birdwatching enthusiasts who are looking for a scope that they can carry with them at all times. The rubberised armour compliments the small compact size of the unit well and offers incredible protection against all elements. This also comes equipped with rubberised grips to help steady your grip and fully coated lenses to offer a sharp contrast image by reducing the internal reflection.
What Jimmi from Raptor Aid has to say about the Cygnus 8×25 monocular……..
This is a nice bit of kit if you are working to a tight budget or for a child getting into nature observation and bird watching. The small size is an advantage for children especially with the finger grooves. It did feel a bit small in my hand and hard to use however. Not all younger kids like using binoculars so this is definitely a great alternative!
