This is one of the most stylish pairs of vintage folding binoculars/opera glasses by Curry & Paxton Ltd., the company who famously supplied the iconic glasses worn by Michael Caine in his early movies. They could not be folded into a smaller shape (approximately 2.5 x 1.25 x 1 inch overall) and they are in a fitted soft green leather case, which is so snug it is quite tricky to get them out. When they are taken out and the top eased forward they spring fully open very nicely. They are beautifully constructed and the lenses are very clear and clean. There is a small decorative hinged handle underneath as shown and the eye lenses can be moved forwards and backwards to focus. They are low powered but do work well.
