Highly unusual so maybe rare set of binoculars , I say maybe military and I will be honest and say this is based only on the fact that the case is marked on the top with the name J S Mayer lieut ! pretty little pair for the collector I guess , the other unusual thing is that other than X6 marked beneath each viewing lens there are no other markings on them at all that I can see nothing to date them or give us a name of manufacturer I am afraid , nothing on the case either apart from the name , nice little leather case in good condition considering these are of some age
