For sale is a TS 80mm ED doubled, fully multicoated, refractor with a 3 Crayford focuser and a 3 field flattener, TSFLAT3, for astrophotography. This setup allows for FULL FRAME cameras to be used without changing the focal length (the field flattener is 1x). The pictures of the Andromeda galaxy and the Orion Nebula were both taken with this setup.The Optical Tube Assembly (OTA) consists of a premium 80mm f/7.0 ED 2-Element objective with improved colour correction and good light sensitivity. The focal length is 560 mm and the focal ratio is f/7. The OTA is mounted on a long dovetail bar that is fully compatible with common counterweight systems if needed (not included).The OTA can be used with both 1.25 and 2 star diagonals (not included). If used with the field flattener TS3 for astrophotography (included), a 68mm connection is available. Apart from some minor cosmetic scratches, the telescope is in a really good condition and has been well looked after. There is a bit of surface dust on the lens, but that can easily be cleaned off and does not affect the performance. There is no evidence of fungal growth on the glass lenses.This is a real bargain and a great telescope for both beginners and advanced astronomers as well as enthusiast.
