MINIATURE or MICRO BINOCULARS were a very popular line back in the 60`s and 70`s interest in miniaturised technological gadgets was fuelled no doubtby the early James Bond movies. The Japanese optical companieschurned out loads of these tiny binoculars some good.some lessso and the certainly the good survivors are of interest today.There are even some dedicated collectors of just this type ofbinocular.Listedhere is a TOHYOH7 x 30miniature porroprismbinocular beingsold as a project for an enthusiast to make improvements to.Itis stillworking quitewelland giving clearviews despite a collimation error. Externally itis a very clean little instrument and still has what I assume is itsoriginal attached neck cord and tan leather case with shortstrap.Thereare no lens caps.Defects:afew light external marks;fungalgrowths on the internal optics; collimation is slightly out; theremay be other defects discoverable on stripdown.itake great care examining, using and describing the binoculars andscopes i sell, and always get a second opinion. however, i am not aprofessional and my description is based on my experience and honestassessment; most examples i sell are at least 35 years old and theremay be other defects…….also, please remember, everyone`s eyes aredifferent…..
