Russian binoculars from the latter decades of the 20th. Century have gained a strong reputation for ruggedness, excellent optics and great value for money. They are now getting quite collectable too, gaining genuine retro appeal in today`s vintage market place.This listing is for a RUSSIAN TENTO 8 x 40 centre focus porroprism binocular in decent condition. This example has clear optics and a tidy body. It is typical of most russian binoculars in my opinion, rugged and somewhat unrefined to handle but with really excellent optics! It features rubber fold down eyecups for spectacle wearers. This one has an edge blemish in the r.h. objective lens element separation probably I can`t see any effect it has on the view out. It is well presented with its original case with attached leather strap , both yellow filters (stored in the case lid), leather neckstrap. At the time of writing I have another almost identical TENTO 8 x 40 for sale as well on a separate listing.
