A vintage telescope made by Tasco in Japan
It is of a very solid construction and comes complete with an extendable wooden tripod, 2 eyepieces (H 20mm & SR 4mm) and a 2 x Barlow Lens
The 4.5″ diameter reflecting mirror is in excellent condition
Although looking a complicated piece of equipment it is very easy to set up and use and is therefore ideal for a beginner
What you can see with this telescope is as follows:-
The phases of Mercury, Venus and Mars
Lunar rilles and craters less than 3 miles across
Martian Polar caps and major dark surface features during oppositions
Cloud belts on Jupiter with detail, plus the shadows of Jupiter’s Moons on the planet during transits
Cassini’s division in Saturn’s Rings, plus 4 or 5 of its Moons
Uranus and Neptune visible as small discs
Dozens of globular clusters, emmision nebula and galaxies and all of the Messier objects
