Selling these good Swarovski Habicht 10X40 binoculars as shown in the pictures serial number 106990. I have owned these for some time and while they are well used and show it, they have never been abused, and are still in excellent optical and mechanical condition. They are small and handy, light in weight, give clear sharp images and are a joy to use. They are ideal for birding but are NOT waterproof.These are high quality binoculars and it shows. While the exterior shows the ravages of time and use, internally they are clean and clear, with no haze, some minor dust and a small spot on one prism in the left hand tube. The coatings are still in excellent condition with some small cleaning marks and tiny scratches on the oculars and less so on the objectives. None of stated blemishes have any affect on the view through these and are only mentioned for accuracy. Focus is still smooth and positive with no slop or backlash and the dioptre adjustment is also smooth but not loose. The collimation is perfect.There is paint loss and wear on all edges as seen in the pictures especially around the bridge. The case for these has long vanished but they still have the original rain guard and strap. Only selling because the rather short eye relief has made them difficult to use with my latest set of spectacles.Postal costs will be 8.60 for Royal Mail Special Delivery to all UK destinations.
