On offer here is a pair of Steiner Bayreuth 8×30 Vergutet Binoculars.

The binoculars have been very kindly donated to St. Giles Hospice.
Externally, for their age, the binoculars come in a good condition and they are structurally sound. Aesthetically, they exhibit only relatively light signs of surface wear, e.g. light surface scratching, mild dirtying. I have uploaded a number of photographs, so please take a close look at these to help make your own assessment of their condition.
Optically, the binoculars continue to provide a nice, sharp image. Looking backwards through the binoculars, I can observe no signs of any damage to its internal prisms nor any fungal growth; there is only the lightest hint of surface clouding and only a minor presence of internally-located fibres. The lenses themselves of the binoculars appear free from any substantial scratching (there is possibly the odd, light scratch).
The relative position of the binoculars’ barrels remain freely adjustable. Both the left and right eye-pieces have focusing dials and these work well with nice smooth movements.
The binoculars come with a pre-attached lanyard.
The binoculars come with a zip-up soft case, which shows general signs of storage wear.
