Vintage Sheffield Photo Co Ltd 8×25 Binoculars circa 1928-1932
These are labelled Sheffield Photo Co. This is a company set up and ran by Frank Mottershaw who is accredited as producing some of the first silent movies around 1903.
The company became Ltd between 1928 and then closed in 1932.
The Binoculars look good however one lens glass has a scratch which doesn’t seem to be picked up when viewing through them. The viewing is a little cloudy however which should be fixed by a good internal clean.
The case is present and has some age related wear.
Both straps on the Binoculars and the case are in tact.
