SWIFT Binoculars were the top Japanese made brand in the UK in the 1960’s, ’70’s and ’80’s.
The DERBY model was developed by SWIFT, aimed at Racegoers, with independent eyepiece focusing.This is achieved using oversize adjusters, with ‘easy to use’ click stops.
It has an excellent rubber armoured body, rubber ‘fold down’ eye cups (for spectacle wearers),
and an unusual 7.5 x 42 specification, plus new lens coatings.
It is a High Resolution model, with good optical ability.
Serial Numbers for this item are JB56 and 81939, clearly visible on pictures 9 & 10, when enlarged.
This item is in a good, used condition, showing some wear to the paintwork and comes with its original neck strap and eyepiece cover.
