Rare Vintage Barr & Stroud C.F.4 6x30British Military Binocular.This vintage Barr & Stroud C.F.46x30binocular is being sold as working but well worn. I think it dates from the post WW1pre-WW2 war period. It is an uncommon model I know nothing about I’m afraid! The bodyshows signs ofuse, as shown in the images. The eyecups are perfect without any damage. The leather type body covering is well worn and incomplete. The optics are sharp, crisp and clear. The opticsare quite clean and without scratches. There is a chip on one of the internal prisms (at the edge) and here is some internal dirt visible.This binocular isin perfect collimation.The military individual eyepiecefocusing mechanismsof this binocular both work very well.Overall arare andcollectableBarr & StroudC.F.4 model binocular, which would benefit from some TLC.Made in England.I’m happy to combine postage & local collection is welcome.
