Included with this auction are the telescope itself, the three eyepieces it came with, original solar filter, the Questar Tri-Stand with accessory tray and a video-out eyepiece. Everything is very clean, with no scratches anywhere. The only defect to the entire collection as far as I can see is discoloration of one of the legs of the tripod, which is visible in the tripod leg photo. This one is serial number 50TH-20054-SQTZ, confirming it is indeed a very limited-edition 50th Anniversary edition – and I believe this means it is #200 out of a production run of 250.
This will be heavy, and to protect the optics as best as possible, I plan on shipping the telescope and tripod separately. I will also ship it insured, simply due to its high value.
This incredible telescope belonged to a late family member who was an extremely avid amateur astronomer. This 50th Anniversary Questar was the jewel of his collection. It is in truly flawless condition in cosmetics and operation. Please be advised that payment needs to be paid by bank unless previous arrangements have been made.
