IF YOU WANT TO SEE ANY FURTHER IMAGES PLEASE JUST ASK. **This pair of antique binoculars probably date from the early part of the twentieth century. They may be First World War field glasses, although we are not sure of this. The binoculars have brass mountings and a leather-covered body. They are stamped by the eyepiece ‘Binocular Prismatic No.3 Mk.II x6 No.58887’ on one side and ‘W. Watson & Son Ltd. London’ on the other side. The binoculars are also stamped with the registration number 644526 and the patent number 23825. They have a rope handle that is not original but does have some age. They appear to be in good working order.Condition: Overall in fair condition with some wear consistent with age and use. They are grubby and would benefit from being cleaned. The metalwork has some surface corrosion, and some slight denting in places. The eye casings have some wear and deterioration – worse to the left-hand side. The leather covering to the main body is heavily worn and is coming unstuck. Please refer to photographs below. The approx. measurements are as follows:10.5cm long. (Ref. #12630)
