I like the porro prism design as it produces a brighter image than most roof prisms I’ve ever tried. They also sit more comfortably in the hands and are generally lighter. These have been a joy to use, really nice bright image with lots of detail and great colour rendition – browns are brown and green’s green. They are a really nice quality binocular NOT made in the far east sweatshops but in West Germany which has a great name for high quality optics (Zeiss, Lieica etc….).
These are the later version of the classic 10×40 with the Ceralin PLUS fully coated optics, I thought they were better than the more common rubber coated Alpin’s you see everywhere which is why I bought them.
