For auction is this very nice pair of binoculars. The lenses are very good quality, and the piece belonged to my Dad, who bought them at a high end shop in the Far East…hence the unusual Arabic markings! They are 8 by 40 and there is also a marking saying that they are 6.5 degrees in ‘field’, which I guess refers to the depth of field and level of magnification. You can see a lot with them..a bird in a tree three roads away can be seen in great detail.They work well and have a reassuring but not too heavy weight to them. The carry case shows its age a bottle but is well made and the snap fastening works fine. I would love to see these binoculars sold to somebody who would make good use of them, like a birdwatcher or walker. I live in the city and they are just not being used. I will pack them up very very carefully, with bubble wrap and a box. Or you are welcome to collect from me in person, in Hampton, Middlesex.
