Meade LX200 10 Telescope & Meade 10 Lightbridge with vast amount of accessories.
This was my late fathers set up & Im selling it on behalf of my mother. Unfortunately I know nothing about telescopes but guessing if youre looking at this kit you do! He spent hundreds of pounds adding extras to this already extensive set up.
The LX200 cost 3454 (have the original receipt & registration) in 1999 and is in exceptional condition. My dad hardly used it before he was taken ill. It has been stored indoors in the original packing for protection.
The Lightbridge was purchased brand new and I dont think he ever used it. We still have the box (but its a bit tatty). Just looked on Ebay and there is one available from the US (has a few extras) and to have it here would cost over 900.
I put the LX200 together today & powered it up. Motor & hand set work fine.
The following description is taken from the advert that my dad bought it from. I am more than happy for buyers to inspect both items. Must go together, not going to split them as they are taking up room in my house.
10 inch Schmidt-Cassergrain optical tube assembly with EMC super multi coatings, quartz microprocessor controlled 5.75 worm gears and multi function power panel display on the drive base. Hand held electronic command centre with digital readout display.
