Welcome to an auction for my Meade ETX-105 PE or Premium Edition Telescope.If you want to take those first steps in to astronomy then this scope will be perfect for you. It offers a good size, excellent optics, go to capabilities and a set of three Meade Super Plossl lenses for differing magnification. As mentioned, this is the Premium edition with upgraded lens coatings ( UHTC ) and also I have upgraded the controller to the Audiostar handset which is brand new and still has the plastic cover on the display.The only other slight change which should be noted is that the original LNT ( basically the red dot finder which also houses a GPS, compass and levelling apparatus ) had been removed when I bought it. I should stress this is not needed but I have bought a replacement LNT finder however this is not mounted as I omitted to read the small print in the ad in that it does not fit the mountings for the 105, only the 90/125 ETX. However this replacement is included if you wish to mount it yourself. This finder though has not been tested but is brand new. Otherwise this scope is in very good condition with no optical flaws/defects and no scratches on the mirror/lens. There are a couple of paint marks which have been collected from storage in my spare bedroom when it was being repainted which are pictured.All in all this is an excellent beginners scope and it has given me lots of viewing pleasure and certainly rekindled my interest in astronomy.As always please do not hesitate if you have any questions.PS One extra thing.
