Meade Deep Sky Imager PRO 11 Monocrhrome CCD Camera. Condition is Used. Dispatched with Royal Mail Special Delivery.
I used this camera for many years & learned my digital astrophotography with it. . I later upgraded to a large format cooled camera and used the Meade DSI as a guide camera , which seemed a waste of time, but as I became more skilled I upgraded to a new system.Included with the camera is an aftermarket nosepiece to replace the original one which was designed to accommodate the filter bar. The filter bar is included but NO filters are included apart from a Revelation Astro IR block filter which is fitted to the camera together with an aftermarket 15mm extension tube threaded with a T thread , so it is ready to use with any T threaded item.The original nosepiece is included, but one of the mounting screws is missing. Two spare screws for the fitted nosepiece are included, but these are shorter than the originals and would only fit the new nosepiece.the silver coloured tape at three of the corners of the original nosepiece are to retain the remaining three mounting screws.I will also include an aftermarket filter-threaded ring, see photo, which can be placed within the outer end of the extension tube so that individual filters may be used in conjunction with the IR block filter.NB: The only cables included are firstly a USB cable – not the original one. The cable included is the last one I used with the camera and is a lot shorter than the original, but the cables are cheap and easy to replace as required. Secondly, included is one of the serial cables referred to in the Quick Start Instructions, but I dont know which one of the two which are mentioned.The parfocal ring and CD Rom are NOT included- the CD and parfocal ring are long since lost and the software is easily downloadable from the Meade website.The DB-9 to RJ-11 adapter is also NOT included. It probably wouldnt work now anyway with modern operating systems. I have had to replace the adapter several times over the years as their drivers become obsolete.Boxed with original documentation. Well used but in good condition from smoke free home.I am selling other astrophotography items see my listings.
