Areal retro design, a LIEBERMAN & GORTZ (L&G) 40 x 70PORROPRISM HIGH POWER BINOCULAR. The lieberman and gortz brand becameassociated with ROSS of england in the early 1960`s and this crosschannel model was as far as I know only ever badged as an L&Gmodel. The main body of the binoculars looks identical to the popularROSS SOLAROSS range.
Thisexample is in excellent cosmetic condition with hardly any signs ofuse externally, including very good external glass; and mechanically,all the controls appear to work smoothly. However, it is being soldas a project for parts or not working – due to dirty internaloptics and the need for collimation adjustment. The internals showhaze, staining and some mould spots, but I can`t see any heavy fungusgrowth.Theoriginal case is still present but is rather distressed, bothoriginal case and neck straps are included but no other accessories.
