THIS PAIR OF LEITZ/LEICA 8x32B IS FROM MY COLLECTION. I HAVE SOLD MUCH OF THE COLLECTION NOW. ONLY THE PICK OF MY LEITZ/LEICA MODELS REMAIN, BUT THIS ONE HAS DEVELOPED A SEMI-TRANSPARENT MARK ON ONE OF THE PRISMS AS SHOWN IN MY LAST PICTURE. IT IS A SHAME, BUT IT DOESN’T SEEM TO HAVE ANY EFFECT ON THE IMAGES. IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY FAVOURITE OF THE RANGE. THE FOCUSING MECHANISM IS BUTTER SMOOTH (UNLIKE MANY OF LEICA’S LATER OFFERINGS!), IT IS COMPACT, NOT HEAVY, HAS AN EXTREMELY USEFUL MAGNIFICATION AND WIDE FIELD OF VIEW. THE IMAGE QUALITY HAS ALWAYS BEEN STUNNING.
I WILL BE SORRY TO SEE THIS GO, BUT I AM OF AN AGE NOW WHICH RESTRICTS MY OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES A LITTLE, AND I HAVE TOO MANY COLLECTIONS RESULTING FROM PAST PASSIONS!! I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED TO HAVE TO SAY THAT IT IS NOT, AS I THOUGHT, PERFECT, BUT IT IS STILL A VERY USEFUL AND ATTRACTIVE HIGH END BINOCULAR.
