I’m selling just the body of my Leica Televid APO 77 Spotting Scope as I need to retain the only eyepiece I have for use with my smaller APO 62 telescope. The bodywork has a couple of minor imperfections which I have indicated on the attached photographs, otherwise the rest of the casing and tripod mounting foot are still in an above average condition due to the fact that it has always been protected by the Skua Stay-on Case, also included in this auction. The external lens surfaces are unmarked with no scratches or abrasions to the coatings, but one thing that did concern me when I first acquired the telescope were five tiny spots around the edge of the objective lens inner surface. They are hardly discernible (see attached photograph), and they certainly have not affected the image seen through the scope which is still as sharp and bright as the day I bought it. The markings have not altered or increased in the 16 years I have had the telescope and I believe they are possibly just minute deposits of lens mounting cement.  I have no box or instructions for the telescope, but I do include the original Lens and Body Caps.
