I have decided to sell my Leica APO TELEVID 77 and tripod as ive not used it for some years now and its just a dust magnet on top of the wardrobe which is a total waste for such a good scope.
The scope in excellent condition and every thing works perfectly.
The tripod is fully adjustable in all directions and has a wind up height adjustment.
There is also a quick release bracket to allow the scope to be removed from the tripod with ease.
There is a VERY minor scratch about 4mm long to the front of the scope but this does not affect it in any way and is hardly noticeable. I have tried to get a clear shot of the scratch and circled it in the photo.
The eye piece is missing its dust cover and the bag for the scope is also missing after it was stolen from my car many years ago.
The eye piece is the B20x – 60x .It has a zoom feature in stages from 20x – 30x – 40x – 50x – 60x .
The main scope has course and fine focusing to allow perfect sharpness of the object in view.
The main body of the scope can also be adjusted while attached to the tripod so the angled lens can be rotated 360 degrees to give a comfortable viewing position.
The eye piece and main lens have adjustable ends to cut down on light and the end of the scope is threaded for various filters ect.
This scope is one of the best quality scopes ive owned and is very well made with a lot of features, smooth, precise functions and good optics.
The photos of it out side were taken while it was raining so it appears to have small dark spots on it, this was just rain drops, the actual body of the scope and black plastics are almost like new.
Due to the eye piece lens cap missing there appears to be specks of dust inside the lens so i would recommend having the eye piece taken apart and cleaned professionally. The dust does NOT affect the performance of the lens although it is noticeable in certain circumstances.
The main scope lenses appear very good and look clean.
The view through the scope is crystal clear but as mentioned in certain light the specks are noticeable.
I have tried to get a picture of the specks please look carefully so you are aware of them.
These scopes are not cheap so i would advise any prospective buyer to come and view the scope to make sure its what they want and what they are happy to bid on based on the description ive given.
I have described the scope as accurately as i can, I have been slightly over critical but have no desire to deceive any prospective buyer the scope is 100% as new with no flaws.
I would hate to pay good money for such an item to find there were problems that i wasnt aware of at the time of purchase and i will not do that to any one else even if it means loosing potential buyers.
It has the problems as described with dust specks inside the lens and as mentioned needs to be professionally cleaned unless the buyer is capable of such work themselves, Im not so i wont be making any attempt to clean it.
The item is located one mile from junction 28 on the M1.
The scope will be securely packaged and sent first class royal mail parcel signed for. Postage is ONLY to mainland UK.
If collection is preferred i am more than happy to hold on to the scope for an agreed period of time as long as full payment has been made.
If winning bidder wants to pay on collection in person thats fine but a 150 NON refundable deposit must be made with in three days of the auction ending.
Sorry, but ive held items with out deposits previously only to have the buyer fail to complete the sale after multiple excuses leaving me with seller fees and unable to cancel the winning bid.
