Kaikosha 6×24 KT IF Binoculars, reticule, WWII Japanese Officers, RARE.

This superb and rare Imperial Japanese Army binocular was issued through the “Kaikosha” officers club and was reputedly made by Nippon Kogaku who later became Nikon. Made to the standard Japanese 6×24 format with Erfle eyepieces, it gives stunning wide angle images of 9.3 degrees and close focusses down to around 14 feet – particularly useful for the “close in” jungle fighting at which the Japanese Army excelled.
I believe they had to be bought by the officers, not issued!
They have the Chrysanthemum flower with the star on top on the right prism cover. (Imperial Japan Army).

This example is in good condition giving a crisp and clear image.
They do have a reticule, hard to photo as shown, but clear on viewing (it does rotate).
Lenses are in very good condition, inside has no mould or fungus or dust, maybe the lightest haze in one side, but barely visible.
Collimation is perfect, focussers are great.

An extremely rare binocular to come up, very rarely seen for sale, a must for bino collectors to own a great piece from the Pacific side of WWII.

Comes with strap and rainshield.
