This scope really needs to be permanently mounted in a fixed observatory on a pier.It needs a minimum of two people to mount or move it around safely as fork & tube alone weigh in at some 55KGThe darker the site the better as always, But these work well with inexpensive reducers for both visual and photo use. Not Sure of exact age as previous owner had sadly passed away, but I’d put at early 2010’s due to flat top GPS, Current model secondary fixing, Black rear SCT cell cover and the fact it came without a microfocuser. (I have since bought one) Meade stopped supplying them as standard for a while while the company was having problems.
To give you some idea of size last pics show a Meade 8 SCT across the top, HEQ5 Mounted On 8″ diameter skyshed pier

Selling as relocation of caravan is superb for the sun, the dog & the cow but not for a huge scope thats difficult to move
