Thistelescope is designed to provide an excellent start into theinteresting field of telescope photography. It is a travel scope, soit easily packs into its little box for transportation. Sets upquickly for use on the little tripod. There’s certainly enoughresolution and quality to the optics that you can make a good startin astronomical photography, before you take the plunge and buy anexpensive telescope!
Optics:
Opticaldiameter is 70mm and 400mm focal length Ratio: f5.7
Ihave used this telescope on the Moon and Planets and can vouch forthe optical accuracy of this telescope. Nicestar images and a good focus can be achieved with the phone mountsupplied See pics.
Finder:Thistelescope has an optical 5×22 finder to enable easy location ofastronomical objects. So much better than those awful Red Dots.
Focuser:Thistelescope has a nice action to the draw-tube mechanism, enablingaccurate focusing. The draw-tube collar has a knurled screw to pinchthe eyepiece safely in position.
Diagonal:Thistelescope has a nice prism diagonal which makes viewing highlyelevated objects more comfortable and the image the right way up Nature views and scenery is nice to see.
Eyepieces:
25mmeyepiece gives 15x 6mm eyepiece gives 66.6x
3xBarlow:Thistelescope has a three times Barlow lens, which trebles themagnification. Used as shown in the photos with the 25mm eyepiecewill give 75x magnification when used with the Barlow.
Mounting:Small travel tripod with Alt-Az /Pan and Tilt head. Is stable enough, in windlessconditions to get the moon photo shown in pics.
Other:Comeswith all lens caps.

For excellent astronomical photos Iwould suggest that stacking is a better method of getting yourphotos. Please Google Super Cooper TelescopeHelp Jimdo and look for the section on Moon Photography to see howto stack pictures taken through this and any other telescope. Forphotography, start with the Moon!
WhatWonders Will You See?
Thistelescope will show you the basics of general astronomy and somedetail on the planets.
Mercuryand Venus will show their phases.
Marswill show a definite disc.
Youcan see at least ten Asteroids.
Jupiterwill show two bands/belts (and,of course, its four Galilean moons).
Saturnwill show its rings and Titan, its biggest moon.
Uranusand Neptune will be visible as tiny greeny / bluey star-like discs.
(Youcan’t reliably see Pluto even with a 150mm telescope by eye! )
Youwill be able to explore the craters, mountains, rills and valleys ofthe Moon when it’s in a phase, and the ray craters when it’s full.
Youcan easily see the Andromeda Galaxy (M32), Orion Nebula (M42), GreatGlobular Cluster in Hercules (M13), Ring Nebula (M57), DumbbellNebula (M27) and many more deep sky ‘Messier’ wonders. The SevenSisters (M45) is a wonderful sight on low power.

Thereare a lot of so-called ‘starter’ scopes out there, (even being soldby telescope suppliers!) that I won’t and don’t allow through mydoor! Auctions are filled with instruments with second rate, poorquality optics, ridiculous magnifications and outrageous detailclaims. You won’t find those in my auctions!
Iwould never sell any of the following makes, their optics are awfuland sometimes even plastic! Please, never buy any of these:Bushnell/ Edu Science / Jessops / National Geographic / Opticraft / Optus /Science Tec / Seben / Simmons / Tasco / Vision King / Vivitar /Zennox
Thereare also scopes with well known mechanical failings, which I willrectify before sending it out. Buy another scope if you like, take achance, it’s your choice, but will it perform as well as one of mine?
