These are superb vintage Swarovski Optik Tirol Habicht binoculars, with an early serial number : 145790, with strap and leather case (not branded,) although no lens caps. The mechanics work well, and the lenses appear to be undamaged, although they could do with a clean- the body is very dirty, and I have not attempted to clean the binoculars at all. Some wear to the paint in places, see photos. There is no fungus that I can see, and the view through them is clear and free from spots. In some lights the larger lenses appear to have an oily-coloured film on them (is this micro-coating?,) with the odd spot, but this does not in any way affect their clarity in use. As Swarovski Optik was founded in 1948/49 using Habicht (Hawk) as a trade name, I am guessing that these binoculars were built not long after that date. I do not know much about binoculars, so please ask questions. If the buyer is not happy I will refund their money on return.
