Rare Davon Single Draw Micro-Telescope Early 20th Century. Designed for multiple uses including the taking of photographs through the main Objective, it proved more useful as a low-power terrestrial telescope rather than an astronomical one. Because it was capable of being deployed over very considerable distances and could be very precisely focused by use of the rack and pinion with the barrel-mounted wheel, some were actually used as trench telescopes during the First World War and were marked with War Department Arrows if they were issued for this purpose.Rare Davon Micro-Telescope Early 20th CenturyFor a full description of this remarkable scientific instrument, please see:Davidson, F.
