Curious Antique 8×28 Binoculars, Leather Case, Early 20th Century, Good optics. Condition is “Used”. Dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd Class.
Very old, unusual 8×28 compact binoculars are these. Early 20th century judging by the style and they have certainly been around a bit. I have used them a bit for bird watching in the garden and the optics are still good and sharp and the compact size makes them quite handy. I can’t see a brand name anywhere so they are a bit of a mystery. Condition- they work as should, focus wheel and right eye individual focus are a bit tight but work fine. Optics are still fine. The leather case has a ton of patina and wear but is still whole and useable. There has been a catgut repair on the stitching of the lid so the middle doesn’t fall out. The binoculars themselves have rubs and scuffs but are good and solid.
