My wife is making me sell some of my scopes because she says I have too many (and she would be right) so I’m selling a Nexstar 4, a Nexstar 5 (this one) and an old Celestron “Great Polaris” C8. I bought this around 6 months ago and it was my first scope. I bought it from someone who’s grandfather kept it on the dining table and used it to look at ships out at see.
This comes complete and as was when new. Tripod, scope, mount, hand control (Recently updated to the latest firmware, power supply, star pointer, 25mm eyepiece, 12.5mm eyepiece and original manual. Everything is in the original packaging except the tripod.
This is a really nice scope thats been really well cared for. The optics are in perfect condition. I can’t even see anything to suggest that the corrector or primary have been cleaned or needed to be cleaned. Perfectly collimated too.

Despite having 2 x Celestron C8’s I’m really going to miss this as I still use it often. The C8’s are big and heavy and the mounts for them are way way more heavy so I only set those up when I have lots of time. The little Nexstar 5 can be set up, aligned and looking at Jupiters moons in about 10 minutes
Postage possible but it will have to be insured but I’d rather collection or I can meet you half way depending on distance as this is far too nice for a courier to throw around
