The Celestron Astromaster 130 EQ MD is a popular and affordable telescope
to get you started in astronomy.
Very easy to set up with no tools needed and easy to use. Instructions included.
Comes with sensible magnifications of 33x and 65x which can be upgraded or added
to over time. The 33x (20mm) eyepiece gives an upright image, so it can be used
to view long distance terrestrial targets or even , with practice ships at sea. All other
eyepieces give an inverted image.
The 130mm mirror gives enough light grasp to bring into view 1000s of stars, 100s
of double stars , star clusters + a number of brighter galaxies and nebula , away from
street lights.
Vast mountain ranges, craters and valleys will be also be within reach when looking
at the Moon.
Complete with a full sized German CG-3 EQ mount to keep it steady, with the added
bonus of a motor drive to keep stars in view once polar aligned
