Here I have a Rose wood cased 4 draw telescope with tripod . this fine piece is in very good usable complete condition with additional lense . on the inside of the lid the Label reads

” BY APPOINTMENT TO THE INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITON 1862 . A B DANCER OPTICIAN MANCHESTER “

Lovely original piece in fitted case , the brass tripod has a great folding design, please study pictures as they form a large part of the description .
the telescope measures 10.5″ closed and 36″ fully drawn.

GEORGIAN DOLLOND LONDON MONOCULAR TELESCOPE – BINOCULAR – SPYGLASS – SILVER TRIM

Thisis an absolutely lovely monocular / telescope by Dollond of London,and finished in silver, leather and natural materials Itstands 7.5cm in its fully closed position, and 5cm across the largelens. Thesingle section slide can be completely removed, I’m assuming this ishow it should be. Thered leather on the slide section has some rubs and scuffs (seepictures) there’s a wooden inset at the bottom of this section thathas several cracks, one of these sections is slightly loose to thetouch, but its stable (see pictures) there are also two missingsections to the collar on this slide section.I have tried to unscrewthe threaded rims to clean the glass lenses, but they are too tightto move (I daren’t force them) Bothlenses are clear and unscratched, and the scope focuses well. Ageguess circa 1800
