Item:A rare cased early pair of Negretti and Zambra 6X30 compoculars(combined compass and binoculars) which can be used separately. Thecompass rotates on its mounting. I believe they were originally madefor yachtsmen. Theyhave the marks Negretti and Zambra, London, 6 x30 and number 1941.The compass is also marked 1941 on the rear. Also marked Lloyd OwenCompoculars, and Mark1 and Patent Number 406336.
Condition:Some lacquer loss to edges of binoculars and brassing. No chips toeye cups. Particles of dust showing in lenses so may need cleaning.Functions smoothly and works well. Cases are in very good conditionfor their age and have no broken stitches.Allmy items are very well packaged to arrive safely.Buyerto pay postage and packaging costs.
