Rare vintage Carl Zeiss Jena ‘Turita’ 8 x 24 Reverse Porro style Binoculars
Historical binoculars; believed to date from the 1940’s with a very distinctive design.
Unfolded flat for carrying or stowage, these measure about 14 x 8 x 3.5 cm.
They are folded to an inverse “V” shape in use, measuring 11 x 8 x 7 cm.
They weigh approx. 450 g.
Exceedingly rarely seen for sale.
Condition
Paintwork has significant damage (lost all painted ID), but the leatherette surfaces are still in fairly good condition.
Optically working, focus smooth and ‘one finger’ operable.
