Made by Carl Zeiss Jena (East Germany DDR) and issued to numerous institutions through out Germany.
Excllent condition both mechanically and Optically
..this Zeiss telescope is superbly constructed and performs as you would expect.
Objective Lens ..achromatic doublet 63mm diameter
Focal Length 840mm (f13).
Unusual focus design ..objective lens moves rather than the eyepiece..provides pinpoint focussing
Telescope mounted on Vixen style dovetail.
Telescope, Eq Mount and Tripod are easily dismantled.
The Telescope is 80mm (external diameter) and could be used with tube rings if one wanted to use with a modern stand.
RA/DEC axis can be locked in position by the large knob
Slow motion via smaller knob.
