Carl Zeiss Jenoptem 10x50W With Case.
A superb pair of binoculars from Carl Zeiss. The optical quality and field of view makes them absolutely wonderful to use, offering incredible clarity and image fidelity.
Overall the binoculars are in excellent condition and have hardly been used at all – the optics are perfect and crystal clear – no haze, fungus or imperfections. The grip material is in perfect condition and the focusing mechanism works exactly as it should – very smooth. The old thermoplastic acrylic lacquer has aged and peeled off in a couple of places (see pictures) but that does not affect operation in the slightest and they feel very lightly used to handle. The original case and strap are both in good condition – however I wouldn’t recommend using the original leather strap as they tend to break very easily and suddenly once they reach a certain age.
