This auction is for – An totally original pair of CARL ZEISS JENA JENOPTEM Binoculars 10x50w with multi-coated lens. Manufacturers serial number 6775737 – DDR marked. The serial number indicates manufacture around 1987, which is when I purchased these binoculars new as a present for my parents. They have never been out of the house and used only for occasional garden bird watching so are in excellent, almost as new condition. The binoculars come with all the original case and two leather straps. Also included is the original Instruction Manual.
The item is in virtually new condition and look like they have hardly ever been used as they have spent most of their life in a cupboard.
The case has only two very small marks and the straps show very little signs of use. The binoculars are un-marked. The photo of the inside of the case shows how much use these binoculars have had. All mechanisms operate smoothly, again like new.
