STANDARD WORLD WAR 1 GERMAN ARMY BINOCULARS CARL ZEISS D. F. 6x ( DOPPEL-FERNROHR ) FOR SPARE PARTS.
Standard World War 1 German army binoculars – ‘Carl Zeiss D.F.6x’ (Doppel-Fernrohr).
Originally introduced in 1907 and used extensively until the end of the war in 1918.
All Infantry commanders where equipped with a pair of binoculars.
This model was still in use as a privately purchased binoculars until World War 2.
The Binoculars are marked by the company of ‘Carl Zeiss’ in Jena. The binoculars are also bearing the inscription ‘D.F. 6x’ and the number ‘422952’.
The pictures show the external condition which is fair as they are not far off 100 years old.
Internally there are fungus marks on the front and rear elements so are sold FOR SPARE PARTS ONLY.
There is also a small chip on one of the eye pieces but this does not interfere with the use.
