Carl Zeiss Jena DDR Jenoptem 8x30w multi-coated binoculars serial number 6361142 (1986.) . This is a pair of genuine East German Zeiss binoculars, bearing the correct 7-digit serial number and clearly marked “DDR” and made shortly before production ended in 1991. They feature Zeiss’ revoluntionary world-beating T3M multi-coated optics for maximum light transmission and optimal viewing even in difficult conditions. The binoculars are in full working order with no faults or damage optically, crystal-clear internally and nicely collimated – i.e. no double image. They focus very smoothly producing a bright, pin-sharp image, Carl Zeiss optical excellence at its finest. And the cosmetic condition is also very good, with very smart paint showing just some light wear and unmarked leather. They come with their original solid leather red velvet lined case, also in very good condition apart from a small repair to the red velvet lining (see photo.) They also have their leather case shoulder strap and black leather binocular lanyard. A great classic binocular in excellent condition ready to give many years of enjoyable use.
