Carl Zeiss Jena DDR Jenoptem 10 x 50W Field Glasses (Serial No. 4779967) with Case, Lifetime Guarantee and Instruction Manual
I have a pair of Carl Zeiss Jena Field Glasses. They are marked above the prism housing, next to the left eyepiece Carl Zeiss Jena and Jenoptem 10 x 50 W next to the right eyepiece. The Serial number is: 4779967. They are a Single Telescope model, having a focus adjustment on the Right eyepiece in addition to Centre Focusing. There is an adjustable black leather strap attached to the binoculars. There is also a small lobed engraving and a tiny dot on the right objective lens, see picture xx.
The binoculars are in a brown leather case, lined with reddish brown velour, which also has an adjustable brown leather strap. The case shows some scuff marks, as shown in the composite picture.
Included in the case is an instruction manual, with a Publication no. of 50-G031 a-2 (engl.) and a Lifetime Guarantee, printed on a parchment type paper. The registration number of the guarantee is: B 160304.

Please note, I have an email from the Carl Zeiss Archive, confirming that these binoculars were produced by them in 1978.
