CarlZeiss Jena Binoctem 7 x 50 Q1 binoculars serial number 4485252(1976.) The Binoctem was the Zeiss DDR premium-grade 7 X 50 binocular,bearing the prestigious Q1 quality mark. These glasses havehardly ever been used and are so are still in top, virtually new,condition. Optics are crystal-clear, no fungus or haze andcollimation is perfect. (There just are a few tiny specks of dustinternally which have no effect on normal viewing.) Focusing is alsovery smooth, still like new and all lenses unmarked. Cosmeticallythey could be brand-new binoculars, no sign of any wear to paint orleather. They have their original solid leather red velvet-linedcase, case strap and black leather binocular lanyard, all hardlyused. Included in the sale is the original Carl Zeiss DDR box andreceipt showing that they were bought new on 13th December1978 for 78-95 in Birmingham, UK (the equivalent of over 400/$500to-day!) A pair of premium-grade classic Carl Zeiss binoculars inamazing condition.
