This is a lovely believed to be an early pre war Carl Zeiss Monocular – German Made and built to an exceptional quality, probably one of the best in its day. The monocular comes with its original leather case made in or sold in London.
A superb piece with a lovely patina to the outer casing, the lens glass is clear of scratches, misting, mold and fungus. If your not happy with the clarity of the glass then you can easily remove the glass for cleaning (i have not tried this but it would be advantageous if being used for bird watching ect.)
Unusual to find these with the period leather case and that’s reflected in the price – if your going to own one of these in my opinion its nice to have a complete piece.
