Carl Zeiss Dialyt 8x30B Binoculars With Case
A Carl Zeiss Dialyt 8x30B binocular in good condition. This is an expensive binocular, so we will describe it carefully.
Firstly, the good points. It has extremely precise collimation; it is very, very, sharp and pleasurable to use. There is no fungus, no chipped elements, no scratched elements, and no internal haze. It is supplied with a neck strap for the binocular, and also supplied with with the correct leather carry case (which has a shoulder strap).
Secondly, the minuses. The outer rims of both front elements have very slight element separation – this is on the edge (having looked at images of similar binoculars on the internet, it seems to be a common fault: It does not affect the image in any way). There is also a slight split in one of the rubber eyecups which appears to be a result of the eyecup catching on the leather case every time that it is placed back in the case.
This binocular is a pleasure to use.
