What can you see with this telescope?

This fab long focal length telescope has the light grasp to show you the basics of general astronomy
galaxies, nebulae, double-stars and clusters and, thanks to the long focal length,
a good amount of detail on the planets too:
Mercury and Venus will show their phases.
Mars will show some markings and the polar cap.
You can see at least ten Asteroids.
Jupiter will show two to four bands/belts (and, of course, its four Galilean moons).
Saturn will show its rings, and three to four moons on a ‘still’ night.
Uranus and Neptune will be visible as tiny greeny / bluey discs.
(You can’t reliably see Pluto even with a 150mm refractor by eye!
Currently, Pluto is in Saggitarius, just north of ‘the Teapot’ ! )
You will be able to explore the craters, mountains, rills and valleys of the Moon
when it’s in a phase, and the ray craters when it’s full.
This telescope is very easy to use.
The EQ1 mounting allows movement of the telescope to follow
objects in the night sky using the slow motion on the RA axis.
Priced to sell, this telescope has been the ‘first scope’
for many people the world over.
Able to show a good deal of planetary detail makes this light
and portable telescope ideal for those just starting out.
