IMAGE QUALITYFMC coating: multi-layered coating on all lenses and components to greatly reduce light reflection and increase brightness, crispness and contrast. BaK4 prism assembly. BRIGHTNESSThe 900 10×42 binoculars are designed for observing wildlife up to dusk. The components used provide a bright, sharp image with excellent contrast right through dusk until nightfall. ALUMINIUM BODYThe binocular body is made of plastic-coated aluminium. The very strong aluminium body of the binoculars makes them highly resistant to all the knocks and other punishment you can inflict on them when you’re out hunting. What’s more, they are insensitive to extremes of temperature such as those to be found in the boot of a car. This guarantees great reliability for many years to come. WATERPROOFBinoculars are nitrogen-filled to keep water out and prevent internal fogging. Withstands immersion in 1 metre of water for 30 minutes. TEMPERATURE RESISTANCEFor use in temperatures between -5C and +60C ADJUSTMENT FOR SPECTACLE WEARERSTwist up eyecups for spectacle wearers. For non spectacle wearers, twist out the eyecups as far as they will go. For spectacle wearers, twist the eyecups down to the binocular body. FOCUSINGTo obtain a clear, sharp image of the observed animal, turn the central focusing knob to the left or right until you get a sharp image. ADJUSTMENT OF DIOPTER COMPENSATIONTo compensate for difference in visual acuity between your eyes: Close your right eye and focus on an object about metres away using the cenral knob. Once the object is sharp, close the other eye and repeat the operation, this time using the diopter correction ring located near the the right eyecup. The difference between your eyes is now compensated for. You no longer need to use the diopter correction ring.
