Fine pair of binoculars/field glasses made by J.Lizars
of Glasgow and Edinburgh.
On both shoulders is stamped “Prismatique
“Ilumina” “
At the sight end is engraved Captain R.T Templeton Helensbugh”
The glasses have some age, but are sound, and focus well enough.
They are very stylish.
There is a thin rope neck strap, and the glasses come in a tan leather case.
The case is stamped J.D.A (I think… its a bit hard to work out)
The leather strap has been replaced with a thin webbing one
The closing strap has gone, and the back leather hinge needs stitching.
However they are great glasses.
