I continue to slowly downsize my 35 year binocular collection.
This is a glass I bought in the early 1980s on a trip to the US, and is now now becoming quite uncommon, the only other examples I could find were on US Ebay at up to 3 figure prices. I used it and as my collection grew it was carefully stored in my smoke and pet free home.
Looking at it recently I noted that one objective lens has started to separate ( see pic) and will eventually require re-cementing. It does NOT affect the view in any way, which is still clear and in perfect collimation. Normally I would send it to Glasgow Binocular Repairs but as I am downsizing and as I have another example I have decided to pass it on at a price that reflects this.
Data on prism plate is : US NAVY BU SHIPS, MARK 1 MOD 2, No 126656 1943
Date code on hinge bar is MV which confirms M= 1943 V= binoculars.
This glass has the grooved eyepieces to accept the snap on polarising filters. ( not included).
